Locus Cultural Requirements Link Group Type
cpc-1VI. Right of ylo-1 (1 to 3%) (238). Affects simultaneously both ability to derepress and basal levels of enzymes in arginine and other amino acid biosynthetic pathways. cpc-1 mutations interfere with cross-pathway control of amino acid biosynthetic enzymes. Sensitive to 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole. Isolated as arginine auxotrophs by selection in the mutant arg-12s, q.v. The cpc-1;arg-12+ single mutant is prototrophic. Delayed growth after ascospore germination; the delay is not alleviated by arginine or precursors. Scorable by delayed growth. (61, 238) Exemplified by alleles CD-15 and CD-55 in reference 238 and j-2, j-5, and j-9 in reference 61.VIB
cpc-2VIIR. Linked to arg-10. Right of T(5936). Encodes a protein entirely composed of WD repeat segments. Simultaneously affects both basal levels and the ability to derepress enzymes in arginine and other amino acid biosynthetic pathways. Sensitive to p-fluorophenylalanine and 3-AT. Female sterile.VIIRB
