caf-1VL. Right of T(OY321) (11%), T(AR30) (19%), and. hence, of NO. Left of T(AR33)(5 to 12%) and lys-1 (4 to 14%). (817, PB; K.S. Hsu, unpublished data) Resistant to caffeine (494). Resistance is dominant in duplications from T(AR33) (817). Scoring is clear at 25°C and poor at 34°C on slants with 2 or 2.5 mg of caffeine per ml of minimal medium without sorbose (R.L. Metzenberg, personal communication). Also readily scorable by using conidial suspensions spotted on plates containing 2 mg of caffeine per ml of minimal sorbose medium (PB).VLB
