arg-3Uses citrulline or arginine.ILB
mei-4IIIR. Linked to leu-1 (12%), probably to left (757). Homozygous barren. Recessive. Highly variable expression, depending on genetic background (757). Crosses with more extreme genotypes are blocked at crozier formation or karyogamy (860). Crosses with less extreme genotypes complete normal first division but become irregular at later divisions, producing abnormal spores (B.C. Lu and D.R. Galeazzi, cited in reference 860). Not sensitive to UV, methyl methane sulfonate, or gamma rays in spot tests, or to histidine (757, 939).IIIRB
