Unable to use thymidine, thymine, 5-hydroxymethyluracil, 5-formyluracil, or uracil to support pyr-1, even in the presence of a uridine primer (1141). Deficient in phosphoribosyl transferase (127). The uc-4 single mutant converts 50% of the supplied uridine to uracil and excretes it into the medium (1141). Resistant to 5-fluorouracil (126).VRB
