fpr-1	VR. Linked to cyh-2 (<1%) (555, 1149).Resistant to p-fluorophenylalanine and 4-methyltryptophan. Isolated as resistant to p-fluorophenylalanine in the presence of su(mtr)-1. Resistance is recessive in heterokaryons; used in mutagenicity test system (626). Suppressed by several lys and arg auxotrophic genes, which apparently give the double mutant greater sensitivity to p-fluorophenylalanine with no increase in uptake (555). Scored on solid medium containing 10 µg of p-fluorophenylalanine or 60 µg of 4-methyltryptophan per ml; see reference 550.	VR	B
