Genes

Locus Cultural Requirements Link Group Type
piIIL. Linked to ro-7 (0/75); left of cys-3 (4%) (816). Spreading growth (allele B101); no conidia. (816) Growth is better on minimal medium than on complex complete medium. The mutant pi (B101) has not been tested for 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase, which is deficient in strain(s) carrying putative allele col-10 (R2438) (947). See col-10regarding allelism. As a marker, pi (B101) is preferable to col-10 (R2438) because of growth rate, stability, and ease of handling. ro-7, in the same region, is preferable to both (PB).IILB
