Genes

Locus Cultural Requirements Link Group Type
pho-2VR. Between his-1 (3%) and inl (4%) (397; R.L. Metzenberg, personal communication). Structural gene for repressible alkaline phosphatase (397, 594, 745). Scored on low-phosphate medium by staining reaction with alpha-naphthyl phosphate plus diazo blue B (397, 1077).VRB
cpd-3IL. Right of arg-1 (11%). Impaired activity of orthophosphate-regulated cyclic phosphodiesterase (EC 3.4.1.-). Reduced adenylate cyclase activity. Isolated by filtration enrichment from a pho-2 progenitor as cAMP could not be used as the sole phosphorus source. Hyphal morphology resembles that of cr-1.ILB
