Lesion: col-4 colonial-4
Lesion Information for Marker:
      Linkage Group of col-4: IVR
      Markers Left of col-4: met-1 (4%)
      Markers Right ofcol-4: arg-2 (<1 to 2%)
Marker description or requirements:
IVR. Between met-1 (4%) and arg-2 (<1 to 2%) (692, 876, 991). (695) Spreading colonial morphology, forming dense balls of conidia high in slants (47). Probably dominant in heterozygous duplications from T(S1229) (E.G. Barry, personal communication). Cell wall-autolyzing enzyme (631). Reduced amount of cell wall peptides (1165). Used in combination with pe fl to produce microconidiating colonial growth suitable for reversion experiments (386). Called spco-1 (382); called c (386).

Lesion: gna-1 guanine nucleotide-alpha-1
Lesion Information for Marker:
      Linkage Group of gna-1: IIIR
Marker description or requirements:
IIIR. Linked to ro-2 (0/17). Encodes guanine nucleotide-binding protein alpha-1-subunit. The predicted amino acid sequence shows significant homology to the Gi family found in higher organisms. The null mutant shows female infertility, osmotic sensitivity, reduced hyphal growth rate, and defective macroconidiation, has decreased intracellular cAMP levels, and is more resistant to some environmental stresses than wild type. Mutants that are predicted to maintain an activated state of GNA-1 have increased intracellular cAMP levels, overproduce aerial hyphae, and are more sensitive to environmental stresses than wild type. Null-mutant extracts have reduced Mg^2+ -dependent adenylyl cyclase and cAMP phosphodiesterase activity. Mg^2+ -dependent adenylyl cyclase activity in wild-type extracts can be inhibited by using antibody against GNA-1.
