Coprinus gene libraries
These libraries were all received prior to the FGSC move in 2004 and are now
considered ARCHIVAL.
They may be available, but no guarantee as to titre or genome representation
is made. The fosmid library is being considered for de-accession.
Please contact the FGSC if you have a compelling reason to see these resources
maintained into the future.
We have received the fosmid libraries used at the Broad Institute for
the
Coprinus genome. We can send individual clones or groups of clones.
Genomic libraries
The genomic library in lambda dash II is from monokaryon strain Okayama-7 and was made from
samples made from oidia prepared for CHEF plugs
EcoRI partial digests were performed to generate DNA of the appropriate size for packaging
and the 15-23 kb DNA was eluted from the gel.
The genomic DNA library was amplified at the FGSC. Deposited by Mimi Zolan
of Indiana University
cDNA libraries
Two cDNA libraries from meiotic tissue are available.
The dikaryon used in both cases was a cross between strains
called J6;5-4 and J6;5-5 (Valentine et al. 1995 Mol Gen Genet 247: 169-179.)
Deposited by Mimi Zolan
of Indiana University.
The two libraries are:
K-1/K+1 (a mixture): in uni-zap XR (Yeager Stassen et al. 1997. Current Genetics 31:144-157.)
and
K+6: in hybrizap 2.1
